LAS VEGAS -- Tamarian is set to introduce its new Curated Custom -- a pilot program featuring 18 new and best-selling and reimagined designs from the Phoenix weave collection -- at the upcoming COVER Connect Las Vegas, running Jan. 24-26, 2024 at Surfaces.

Tamarian, which participated in the launch of CCLV in 2023, returns to the CCLV Pavilion, located within major flooring expo The International Surfaces Event at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, 3950 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

"This program is a recognition of what we do best, custom rugs from Nepal," Ryan Higgins, owner of the Baltimore-based rug studio, told RugNews.com.  "Our strategy is to expand our custom work by making it simple, limiting added costs, and leveraging our technological tools to find the right balance of access, value, and service while leading with quality."

The rugs in the pilot program feature Tamarian's unique Phoenix weave construction, crafted in a hand-tied knot made from 100 percent wool in Nepal. All of Tamarian's rugs are certified Label STEP, which is a fair-trade non-profit organization committed to the wellbeing of weavers and workers in the handmade carpet industry.

The Curated Custom program will be another tool for trade showrooms that already appreciate Tamarian's process and results and will help them expand the audience and satisfy projects that might otherwise not consider custom, said Tamarian's Ned Baker. "Retailers will find that the more interactive experience for the end-user will better capture imagination and inspiration, but in a controlled process best suited for retail end-users and others that may be new to custom work," he continued.

"Tamarian has distilled 25 years of experience into a beautiful palette of colors, supporting materials, easy to manage web interface, and guaranteed quick-ship turn-around at an amazing value to enhance dealers’ made-to-order business," Baker explained.
"We realized how valuable this custom work is to our clients after hosting an interactive game that had dealers working in random groups to create custom-colored rugs based on scenarios we offered. The joyful creative energy created in that interaction, as well as the truly unique rugs that resulted from the game, illustrated how fun and rewarding custom work is and how people get most excited about custom rugs."
