Buyers will be able to discover a range of fresh designs across price points and weaves at the upcoming Las Vegas Market.

AS VEGAS -- Heading into 2025, area rug exhibitors participating in the winter edition of Las Vegas Market, Jan. 26-30, pick up where they left off, featuring the trends, styles and constructions that left a strong mark in 2024. That doesn't mean there isn't innovation on tap, whether that be in unexpected constructions, reimagined fibers, fashion-driven designs or bringing once exclusive high-end looks to more attainable price points.
Area rug buyers shopping for machine-woven to hand-knotted and everything in between will be able to browse good, better, best assortments that bring something fresh to the table to help them sell rugs or complete projects. Machine-made rugs are introduced in various price points with several vendors debuting fresh high-quality wool area rugs designed for looks and durability and others growing their indoor-outdoor assortments. Hand-loomed and hand-tufted rugs remain top choices as consumers continue to seek out hand-crafted pieces, typically made of natural materials that are more affordably priced than their hand-knotted cousins. And hand-knotted designs, the creme de la creme of area rugs, are today within the reach of a much broader swath of consumers due to various inventive techniques. Even pure silk hand-knotted rugs making their debut at Vegas are far more attainable than earlier iterations.
From a stylistic point of view, rug buyers can also choose from a wide range of aesthetics, where organic warm and earthy colors and rich textures predominate. Linear and contemporary geometric motifs, art-inspired abstracts and textural solids make an appearance alongside block print looks and updated traditional patterns. And the palettes that predominate include ivory, rich browns, and burnished golds, with plenty of blues and grays -- and even greens -- added to the mix.
Below is the industry's most comprehensive guide to the latest area rugs heading to Las Vegas Market.
