The Rug Show announces new dates for its 2022 event.
SECAUCUS, N.J. – Less than two weeks after The Rug Show reported the pandemic-related postponement of its planned February event, organizers have announced new dates of September 14-16, 2022, at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus.
“Autumn markets in the metro New Jersey/New York area are steeped in rug tradition,” said one of the show’s key organizers, Jack Simantob of Art Resources. “The Rug Show Board worked closely with exhibitors, industry partners and with feedback from our attendees to choose the new dates,” added Simantob. “Our goal is to provide the greatest opportunity for rug buyers to connect with the greatest variety of exhibitors and product possible in one location. Attendees planning to visit COVER Connect New York will be able to seamlessly access The Rug Show, for an unprecedented buying experience this year."
Lisa Slappey of Postmodern Traditions expressed both gratitude and anticipation for the shift in dates, “Although I was eager to see all of my industry friends and the new rug collections, I had been wrestling with whether or not to attend The Rug Show in February. Postponing the event to September in light of COVID-19 made sense. I'm grateful to everyone who worked hard to revive the show and look forward to joining you!”
This year's show will be a much-anticipated return to 'in-person', as the growing exhibitor roster is set to showcase one of the event's largest contingents of brands to date. Online registration has reopened in full swing, with prior ticket bookings held for those who had already registered for February.
