Artistry abounds in area rug introductions heading to High Point Market to showcase weaving innovation and on-point fashion and color.
HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Area rug showrooms continue to push the envelop in area rug design and development for shoppers attending the spring edition of High Point Market, April 13-17.
The range of new products for buyers to choose from is exhaustive stretching across various styles, fibers, trends and price points. Buyers can expect everything from high-quality intricate printed area rugs and power-loomed introductions to luscious hand-tufted pieces, both in dense cut pile and durable loop constructions to hand-knotted designs crafted in everything from loose knots to fine high-count knots.
Not only do the latest crop of introductions highlight the incredible technical acumen at every step of the production process, they show off the artistic prowess of the rug vendors.

LR Home grows its cross-category selection of interior furnishings at the Spring 2024 High Point Market with new additions in area rugs, decorative pillows and poufs, and accent furniture. The company will be hosting five High Point Market events at its showroom, ranging from panel discussions with top interior designers, including the company’s licensing partners Stacy Garcia and Evette Ríos to creating a tote bag "vision board’ with Ríos.
Area rug buyers will find two new collections, Dome and Senneh, and line extensions to the popular Willow collection. Dome is handwoven of wool and jute into a series of heavily textured rugs offered in natural colors. Senneh is a hand-knotted range, a modern take on traditional Oushak rugs. The Senneh collection features accent colors to highlight its intricate motifs. A best-seller since its introduction in 2023, the Willow collection features geometric and contemporary patterns woven of dyed and natural jute with a wool blend. Cotton is used in the warp for these designer rugs.
Look for natural-toned Silk + Linen collection pillows featuring a 100 percent silk front and pure linen back. Also new are Geoblend pillows and poufs, created in a jute and wool blend to match LR Home’s popular Geoblend rugs. Other showstopping debuts include the Tie and Dye chair in the Evette Rios x LR Home licensed collection, and a green embroidered accent chair featuring a multi-color floral pattern.

Momeni expects a bustling High Point and is rolling out a fresh lineup of innovative on trend area rugs. "We are focusing on bold designs and impeccable craftsmanship at an affordable mid-price point. Our new print line adds fresh perspectives, while additions to our Momeni Basics collection offer timeless staples with a modern twist," Reza Momeni said.
Among the highlights is Adobe, "a major achievement in experimental construction," Momeni noted. Adobe features a combination of two qualities to create one unified design, crafted from jute and wool. Inspired by the colors of the Southwest, Adobe features deep reds and buffalo browns, and each rug amplifies organic textures. The hand-made construction is patches together areas of jute and areas of wool, to provide an heirloom vintage look.
Ombre, part of the Momeni Basics lineup, offers the most subtle gradient effect for a hand-loomed rug, featuring a range of colors that transitions from one hue to another. Momeni's new Ariana collection offers vintage-style printed rugs, made of high-quality polyester chenille pile. Ariana uses a high-tech heat-transfer printed technique to capture the authenticity of each design, all based on hand-knotted one-of-a-kind rugs. For spring, the company is also expanding its Pure Salt program with a range of natural, neutral foundational rugs and a special event on April 15 to celebrate the program (read more).

Natco unveils Heirloom, a new Made in the USA collection at its High Point showroom in the IHFC Main building. “We are introducing another great new Made in the US line called Heirloom and will be showing this new collection for the first time at the High Point Market, said Jim Thompson, vice president.
The Heirloom collection pays homage to the craft of old-world rug making, drawing inspiration from the colors, looks, and hand of traditional rugs. The collection uses a soft frieze yarn to recreate traditional designs and unique shrink yarns add texture with a loop effect that emulates hooked rugs. The line’s old-world color palette features traditional colors and has been modernized with on-point neutrals for balance.

Always attention grabbing, the Prismatic collection by Nourison will wow market shoppers with its newest abstract, PRS39.
Nourison, which rolls out a range of rugs and home accents for market, adds a show-stopping new abstract design to its best-selling Prismatic collection, Prismatic PRS39. This floral-inspired design is centered by a whirl of saturated blue that fades out into silky highlights, creating a stunning focal point for transitional and contemporary interiors. Oriental Weavers unveils four new collections at its newly refurbished High Point showroom, which debuts at the spring 2024 market with a grand opening party on April 15, from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Market attendees will be first to see the Echo, Kiera, Naples and Windham collections, and experience the enhancements OW has made to the shopping experience at its renovated space.
The new Echo and Kiera collections are both power loomed in Egypt of 100 percent polyester pile. Echo debuts with 12 designs, in a space-dyed, and textural polyester yarn in subtle neutrals and tonal blues. This collection boasts a range of designs from modern geometric to organic abstract as well as traditional Persian styles.
The elegant Keira collection is power loomed of supersoft multi-tonal and shrink polyester yarns with eight introductory Persian motifs in rich and saturated shades of warm copper, luminous gold and deep indigo alongside softer tones of moss green, cool spa blue and subtle neutral grays. The multi-tonal yarn adds visual texture while the shrink yarn, in deep shades of marine blue and charcoal, serves to create a multi-level effect for added tactility and surface interest.
OW’s Naples collection is machine woven of 100 percent polypropylene with eight new designs. Its unique weaving technique allows for seemingly endless color and texture opportunities, resulting in vibrant patterns and intricate details. The easy care and fade resistant qualities of the polypropylene make this collection suitable for inside or outside the home.
The Windham collection showcases six vintage traditional designs in tonal color palettes featuring subtle shades of green, blue and gold. It is hand-loomed in India of wool and viscose featuring a luxurious hand and a lustrous finish.

The New Jersey-based area rug hand-knot specialist will feature a broad assortment of styles as it returns to its first High Point Market in two years. Rug shoppers can expect everything from modern plaid designs to bold abstract looks and a range of updated traditional designs in some of S&H Rugs' most popular collections, Mamluk, Oushak and Sultanabad.
"We carry different lines and collections from modern to transitional, always trying to 'reinvent the wheel' making it interesting, but yet desirable and beautiful," said Ori Wilbush, founder of S&H Rugs. "It's all about color and we are noticing that green is trending,” he noted, and one debuting example is a Mamluk collection design with a field in tea green. Another showstopper is an antigue Karabakh design hand-knotted in 100 percent wool in a fashion-forward color combination infusing tones of charcoal black and rust.

The Crayola x Well Woven collaboration gets a drumroll at the rug company’s High Point showroom this market with the introduction of The Crayola Collection for Spring 2024. The collaboration unveils 12 designs in eight sizes from 20"x5’ runner to 7’10” x 9’10”. The rugs are machine woven of 100 percent polyester pile in a low pile construction.
The license partners invite homeowners to “color outside the lines” with crisp, clean palettes in a choice of styles from abstract to geometric and folkloric/Boho. The rugs will be launched on the Well Woven online shop on April 30.
