Las Vegas Market.

LAS VEGAS -- Area rug exhibitors at the upcoming Las Vegas Market, kicking off Jan. 28, 2024, are gearing up for a strong start to 2024, introducing fashion-forward designs in a range of trending weaves, qualities and price points.

Area rug shoppers will have plenty of options to choose from -- all driven by top interior design directions and area rug trends -- with the end goal of helping retailers and designers update their offerings or finish up projects. What's more, area rug players have been doing their homework forecasting fresh colorations and area rug features that they expect to be hot sellers in 2024.

The high-end hand-knotted category sees many must-see introductions, in motifs ranging from classic to abstract, rendered in premium wools with hand-finished details, all in colorations that range from favorite blues and grays to bolder gem tones. Hand-tufteds continue to be a popular choice for the step-up value and top debuts include plush, dense styles as well loop or loop-and-cut-pile iterations full of texture. Finally, to flush out their assortments, several rug exhibitors showcase their prowess in the machine-made category offering options that are more budget friendly but with looks that sometimes rival hand-made qualities -- that goes for the indoor-outdoor category as well. These performance rugs continue to bring once-indoor-only styles to outdoors and the latest crop includes playful colorful contemporary designs, natural grass-inspired motifs and the softness underfoot so in demand both for indoor settings and outdoor placements.

RugNews.com takes the guesswork out of shopping area rugs at Las Vegas Market, with the industry's most comprehensive guide to winter market debuts.
