Williamsburg at Home's new Arcadia Blue by Capel reworks a classic 18th century design from the archives of Colonial Williamsburg.

TROY, N.C. -- Capel Rugs is adding two new rug collections to its popular Williamsburg at Home line at the October High Point Market, along with a variety of other new imported and domestically made designs.

Arcadia by Williamsburg at Home is an oversized floral rendering of a timeless 18th-century design from the archives of Colonial Williamsburg, a longtime Capel Rugs licensor. Alluding to the region of Greece imagined to be a mythical paradise, the pattern features the copper-plate printed look fashionable in France and England in the 1760s. Hand tufted in India of 100 percent wool, Arcadia is offered in three colorways -- sage, indigo and stone -- and three standard sizes -- 5x8, 8x10, and 9x12. A 5x8 model may retail for under $549.

Hand tufted in India of 100 percent wool, Arcadia, shown in Sage, traces a path all the way back to 18th-century designs from the archives of Colonial Williamsburg.

Also new to the Williamsburg at Home line is Goa Garden. This artistic interpretation of an intricate pattern recalls the beauty of gardens in Goa, India. The hand-loomed construction with double-back treatment features hints of arabesques and paisley shapes, echoing textile designs exported by the British East India Company to England, and from there to British colonies, during the 18th century. Constructed of 60% viscose and 40% wool with a high-low pile texture, Goa Garden is available in three colorways -- pewter, blue slate and sapphire. Four sizes are offered -- 3x5, 5x8, 8x10 and 9x12, with a 5x8 model retailing for under $1,149.

"Williamsburg at Home's unique 'trend meets tradition' approach shines brightly in both of these new collections," said Cameron Capel, president -- sales and marketing for Capel Rugs. "These fashionable rugs pay homage to the past with updated patterns and textures that are perfect for today's relaxed lifestyles."

Shown in Pewter, Goa Garden combines chic and trendy, taking inspiration from textile designs exported by the British East India Company.

To promote its latest introductions, as well as other popular models across the Capel Rugs line, a special "Buy More, Save More" promotion is being offered this market. The promotion starts with a 10 percent discount on the purchase of any five5x8 rugs in the company's line, both new and existing collections. For purchases of six to 10 rugs sized 5x8, buyers will receive a 15 percent discount, and for purchases of 11 or more, a 20 percent discount will be applied.

"We want to make it easy for retailers to freshen up their floors as we head into the busy fall selling season," said Capel. "Now that kids are back to school, consumers are thinking about decorating for the holidays and what better way to make a room come to life than with a stylish new rug?"

Also making their High Point Market debuts in the Capel Rugs showroom this market will be an assortment of other on-trend designs. They include:

WANDERER

Color and global influence come together in the Wanderer collection created by Capel's own artisans.

Crafted in a proprietary wool blend, the braids are designed with an exaggerated texture resulting in visual and tactile appeal. Five colorways are available -- ocean blue (pictured), global blue, deep blue, spice and cognac. Multiple sizes are available and a 5x8 oval rug may retail for under $549.
