Veteran Rug Industry Sales Exec Douglas Tashjian Joins Delos

Douglas Tashjian joins Delos as an independent sales representative for the NY Metro area -- he will also take on a national sales and marketing role and manage the Delos trade and retail showroom.

CALHOUN, Ga. -- Delos announces the appointment of Douglas Tashjian as an independent sales representative for the New York Metro area. He will also take on a national sales and marketing role and will manage the Delos trade and retail showroom structure for their custom rug offering.

Tashjian began his professional career in custom rugs as a sales representative and later became national sales manager for Tufenkian Carpets. He has expertise nationwide in managing custom floor covering programs with trade showrooms, and stores that offer high end floor covering and home furnishings.

Following his eight years at Tufenkian, Tashjian founded a sales agency and developed private label, custom, and hand knotted carpet programs in Nepal and India. He is currently the U.S. sales manager for a major Asian hand-tufted carpet manufacturer, which he has represented for several years.

He understands the custom process. He is skilled at working with clients to determine the ideal combination of design, materials, colors, and quality.
