S&H DEBUTS EXPANDED SPACE AT HIGH POINT TO CAPITALIZE ON BOOMING BUSINESS


New Jersey-based hand-knot rug maker S&H doubles down in High Point with an expanded Suites at Market Square booth.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Hand-knot specialist S&H Rugs grows its High Point square footage to take advantage of increased demand for its high-end, trend-right area rugs.

 

"We doubled the size of our space at the fall market and had a very busy market and positive turnaround," said S&H's Ori Wilbush, which shows at the Suites at Market Square, booth M2028. S&H isn't the only one growing its High Point presence, and about a dozen other area rug players opened or expanded their showrooms at market (read full story).

S&H has become a go-to designer source for its large assortment of on-trend hand-knotted designs, many crafted in Nepal. The company places a heavy focus on the exceptional colorations of its area rugs designed to be steps ahead of the next big trend. What's more the New Jersey-based company's business has been so robust that it wants to take advantage of strong sales at High Point with a larger space that will allow it to show a larger assortment of its newest area rugs.

"The demand and interest are at levels that I can hardly remember seeing before," Wilbush continued. "We are looking to ride the wave of this robust and strong economy preparing for one of the highest holidays season sales we have ever experienced."
