LOUIS DE POORTERE ANNOUNCES U.S. SALES NETWORK PARTNERSHIP WITH BRINK & CAMPMAN

Louis De Poortere and Brink & Campman will exhibit side by side at April's Rug Show at High Point Market. Shown are designs from LDP's Antiquarian collection and B & C's Wedgwood Fabled Floral.

MOUSCRON, Belgium -- This year's spring High Point Market, running April 14-18, marks the beginning of a partnership between two of Europe's most high-profile rug manufacturers Louis de Poortere and Brink & Campman.

Already well established and recognized in the U.S. market, Belgium-based Louis de Poortere is providing Brink & Campman of Lichtenvorrde, Netherlands, access to its sales platform. This will allow Brink & Campman to tap the same agent network under the management of Louis de Poortere's new North American operations director Mark West, working together with Alan Russell, sales director, Louis de Poortere, and Jasper Kempers, export manager, Brink & Campman. Both operations will remain entirely independent in all other aspects of business.

"Our sales network partnership with Brink & Campman will ensure that customers throughout the country can enjoy a wider offering of qualities from two highly-regarded European rug houses," explained West, who joined the company earlier this year (read full story). "It's an exciting development in our business that promises to cement Europe's reputation for style and quality -- the brands sharing these principles."

With Louis de Poortere famed for its woven jacquard qualities and Brink & Campman renowned for Axminster woven, hand-tufted and hand-knotted styles, the sharing of a sales network will provide U.S. retailers with a broad scope of high-quality rugs, broadloom carpets and runners. Recent introductions from both manufacturers underscore their unique approaches to design.

The brands will exhibit at adjoining stands at this year's Rug Show at High Point Market, top floor at the Suites at Market Square. Louis de Poortere is confident that the partnership will prove fruitful, helping its established network of retailers to access another of Europe's prestigious rug makers, West said.

Brink & Campman comes to High Point Market with a range of Axminster woven, hand-tufted and hand-knotted rugs. Shown is Fabled Floral in hand-tufted wool from B&C's Wedgwood licensed program.
