KALEEN

Fifty members of the North Carolina State Legislature descend on the Kaleen Showplace showroom to get a preview of the inaugural collection of rugs by Hilary Farr Designs on opening day of High Point Market (read more).

STARK STUDIO RUGS
 

At their new Market Square location, the former Due Process showroom, Stark's Taylor Van der Mandele and Steve Codella reported a big boost in traffic. Behind them, the new Alita design, a Turkish knot Oushak, and the wool hand-knot on the floor will both be available this spring.
 
SURYA

Market shoppers flooded the Surya showroom for author and interior design podcaster LuAnn Nigara's panel entitled "Flat Fees and Packaging your Design," From left are Nigara with designer panelists, Sara Brennan of Sara Lynn Brennan Interiors, Don Ricardo Massenburg Jr. of Inkredible LLC, and Wendy Woloschuk of Details Full Service Interiors.
 
Jay Butler of Surya shows Laura Koshel of LK Design in Durham, North Carolina, a modern new medallion design in in the machine-woven Florence collection, a hit for its lustrous sheen from a blend of 50-50 polyester and polypropylene.

 
Surya and City of Hope hosted a 'Pinking Out High Point' event on Oct. 20 during market to support breast cancer research and awareness. For the cause, Surya also gave a free pink Surya throw to the first 250 visitors wearing pink to the company's Showplace showroom.

TAMARIAN
 
Julie Sutton of Carpet Galleria in Traverse City, Michigan, center is flanked by Ned Baker and Chris Saliga of Tamarian, who reported strong sales for transitional designs, but a trend to bold colors among designers.
