Natco Home Group Acquires Orian Rugs Brand

The Orian brand will be marketed and serviced through Natco Home’s area rug division, Central Oriental Rugs, with both companies at their respective High Point showrooms to facilitate the transition.

Natco Home Group Acquires Orian Rugs
Natco Home adds Orian Rugs to its growing stable of home brands.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Natco Home Group, one of the US's largest and most dynamic suppliers of flooring and home décor, today announced it has signed a deal to acquire the Orian Rugs brand from parent company SP Orian, LLC.

Natco principal, David Litner told RugNews.com Natco has purchased Orian’s business, intellectual property, trademarks and design files, but not its buildings or equipment. “We will be transitioning Orian’s designs to our own creels and will continue to service Orian’s accounts, many of them already existing clients of ours on the furniture side,” he explained.

He added, Orian staff will be at their showroom IHFC - H511, Hamilton, Floor 5 to finish out meetings with customers, answer questions and facilitate the transition of the brand, and Central Oriental, the area rug division of Natco Home, will show at their space, IHFC - M436, Main, Floor 4. Managing the transition is Jim Thompson, president of Natco’s Central Oriental Rugs.

"As the last standing woven rug manufacturer in the US, we are excited and proud to incorporate the Orian Rugs brand into the Natco Home fold and look forward to strengthening our relationships with many existing longtime customers, as well as some new to us at Natco," said Michael Litner, president of Natco Home.
