HIGH POINT, N.C.-- Art Resources expands its High Point showroom at the Fall 2024 show, which now encompasses over 3500 feet, and introduces a broad assortment of hand-knotted and high-end machine woven rugs in its Historic Market Square showroom space 278, second floor.

“We have been showing in High Point Market for many years, and for us it's always been better than any other show. We’ve increased the depth and breadth of our collections and needed a bigger space to better present our offerings,” said Jack Simantob, principal. “Based on customer response, we think this High Point Market is going to be a success for exhibitors despite the economic situation.”

Look for line extensions to some of the company’s top-selling collections, including the pure wool Marrakesh, which introduces several classic Moroccan designs spiced up with fashion-forward color palettes. The company also continues to expand its lineup of artful abstract motifs including fresh additions to its popular and long-running Emerald collection lavishly detailed in wool and silk.

High Point Market shoppers will be first to see Art Resources’ new wool Oushak collection offered in an array of pastels and pale neutrals favored by designers. But the big news is the expansion of its coveted Exotic Fibers collection featuring luxury options such as merino wool, alpaca, mohair, cashmere and mulberry silk. The program is offered in limited stock but can be customized in the designer’s choice of Pantone colors for delivery in three to four months.

“We’ve had a lot of customers wanting this because it is expensive for retailers to do an exotic fibers program on their own,” Simantob explained. “They relied a lot on the big guys to do it for them, but other wholesalers’ prices had become too high, and retailers didn’t like that their programs are offered to everyone. So, they came to us and asked if we could do exclusive programs for them.”

Art Resources continues to grow its Exotic Fibers lineup with a new broken linear design hand-knotted of exotic wool.

“Our business is specialty high end retailers, and most of them do custom. But many don’t want to invest in inventory, and that’s true for fine machine-made rugs as well as luxury fibers,” Simantob says, noting that the company’s retail customers are high end, and therefore typically have designers on staff to work with customers in creating their custom rugs and choosing yarns and colors.
