Social media influencer and blogger Sara McDaniel of Simply Southern Cottage rolls out first rugs with Orian.
ANDERSON, S.C. -- Orian Rugs, Inc. has announced a new collaboration with Sara McDaniel of Simply Southern Cottage in Minden, Louisiana, for the Simply Southern Cottage Rug Collection.
Orian Rugs's partnership with the social media influencer, whose @simplysoutherncottage has more than 150,000 Instagram followers, is her first Simply Southern Cottage rug program, and features her warm, cozy cottage style.
McDaniel’s inspiration for the collection was the simplicity and beauty of southern life. She meticulously designed each rug to represent timeless charm, wit and lifestyle. The Simply Southern Cottage collection is filled with cozy, whimsical rugs, that are all made in the U.S.
Among the debuting Simply Southern Cottage area rugs is the Jefferson floral design, domestically made.
The collection will feature thirteen different designs in multiple colorways. Area rugs in collection will be available in five different sizes: 2x8, 5x7, 6x9, 8x10, 9x12, and are made of 100 percent polypropylene for durability and easy maintenance. The rugs are offered at an affordable price point making.
“We resonated with Sara’s story of how she reclaimed and restored her life and wanted to inspire others through her journey. She is the perfect blend of creativity, brilliance, business sense, and just a small-town girl with an abundance of determination. We are excited to have Sara on board,” said Julie Weaver, marketing manager at Orian.

More information about the collection, which has a launch date of Sept. 30, will be shared via @simplysoutherncottage.
McDaniel's inspirational career has progressed from elementary school teacher to interior designer, real estate investor, and content creator. In 2016, she purchased and renovated a broken-down cottage in Minden, Louisiana.
In addition she was recently featured on HGTV Hometown Kickstart. Her work and home have been included in publications, television programming, and prominent websites such as Better Homes and Gardens, The Today Show, Southern Lady, Forbes, HGTV online, and more.
