ADOPT ONLINE INTERIOR DESIGN PROGRAM

LONDONDERRY, NH – Harverty Furniture Companies, Inc. and Furnitureland South have chosen an Internet program from 20-20 Icovia that allows consumers to make interior design and space planning decisions using a virtual model of their homes.

With the Icovia room planner, customers are able realistically visualize their furniture selections as they would appear in their homes. The system enhances the customers’ experience, as well as helps close sales, according to Icovia.  

“The Icovia room planner is an essential service our customers clearly needs,” said Ed Clary, chief information office and senior vice president of distribution for Haverty.

Haverty's, with headquarters in Atlanta, operates 120 furniture stores in 17 states.

Jason Harris, executive vice president of Furnitureland South added that the company's website has become a vital tool for attracting new customers, particularly internationally. "For customers who can’t visit our showroom, we need to provide an online shopping experience that allows them to visualize their interiors furnished with our products," he said.

Although furniturelandsouth.com has offered its own internally-developed room planning tool for years, the company is switching to the Icovia solution, Harris noted. "It is easier to use and provides more features, such as the ability to design in metric for our international customers. We also expect that using Icovia will reduce IT costs and improve the overall customer experience.”
