LAS VEGAS – Kalaty heads to Las Vegas Market with innovations in design, weave and texture as well as in the company’s new mansion sizing for upscale retailers and interior designers. At its World Market Center showroom, B455, the company will present its latest fashion-driven collections as well as extensions to best-selling lines.

"We are optimistic about attendance this summer in Las Vegas," said Ariel Kalaty, a company spokesman. "People are now traveling more, and our customers are interested in face-to-face markets again, so we’re expecting to see at least as many customers this summer as we did at this past winter’s Las Vegas Market."

Among the company’s big news this summer for Las Vegas is that Kalaty is now able to accommodate the growing number of requests for oversized versions of some of its most sought-after hand-knotted rugs. “We have assembled a select group of our best-selling designs in sophisticated fashion colors and in a range of style genres from our high-end hand-knotted collections and now offer them in what we are calling MANSION sizes: 13x18, 14x20, 15x22 and 16x24. We are excited to be offering our mansion-size rugs for the first time at Las Vegas as well as on our website.”

HAND-KNOTTED AND POPULAR-PRICED RUGS BOTH SELLING WELL

"So far, 2022 is meeting and, in most cases, exceeding expectations. No single category is currently driving business, as we are doing well across all categories, Kalaty said. "Our high-end hand-knotted business in all style genres remains a primary focus for the company and continues to sell well. Our K-TWO series of open-distribution popular-priced collections, which has grown to 28 collections this year, and which includes all style genres and all weaves (hand-knotted, hand-tufted, hand-loomed and power-loomed), also continues to sell well.”

In addition to new hand-knotted styles, Kalaty is introducing two new ultra-luxe power-loomed collections this summer to the high-end Kalaty line with knots-per-square-inch counts (KPSI) that according to Ariel Kalaty “would be nearly impossible to achieve by hand, thus elevating these new power-loomed rugs into a new high-end realm.”

The debuting Celeste collection rugs offer abstract patterns and designs in modern fashion colors, power-loomed in a multi-textural high-low weave using a combination of Silkette and acrylic yarns. This range features a knots-per-square-inch equal to 620 knots-per-square-inch equal to many high-end hand-knotted styles. The Kamaria collection offers updated classic and contemporary designs with high-low weaves. Power-loomed using a combination of Silkette and polyester yarns, these rugs offer a 930 knots-per-square-inch equivalent.

KALATY EXPANDS N NATORI PROGRAM

New for Las Vegas Market, N Natori Serengeti collection style SG636A lends fashion flair to animal patterns for
home decorating.

N Natori Serengeti was the first power-loomed collection introduced into the N Natori by Kalaty licensed series. Designed in conjunction with Josie Natori’s N Natori fashion line, these new rugs feature animal-inspired prints that tie back to the World of Natori in color palettes that provide expression without overpowering a space. Power-loomed of polyester yarns, the knots-per-square-inch (KPSI- 260) of these fine rugs is equivalent to that of many hand-knotted rugs.

“Our customers come to us for what’s new and often don’t always know what they’re looking for until they see it in our showroom,” Kalaty continued. “We expect to see positive sales in all categories: from newest styles and collections to additions to existing collections as well as consistent best sellers.”
