HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Feizy Rugs headed to High Point Market debuting 33 rug collections and more than 150 new designs for show shoppers hungry for fresh product.
The large offering, in a range of constructions from machine-made to hand-knotted, will help the company see 2020 revenues top 2019's. What's more, having in-stock area rugs has proven a major plus factor with buyers this fall.
"We’ve had an amazing year and we expect Q4 to be the cherry on the cake," said Justin Yeck, vice president omnichannel sales, marketing, product development and design. "People need product that is in stock and our client base is hungry to get their hands on new items. And due to our strong inventory position, we continue to gain market share," he said, adding that Feizy's company-owned factory in Turkey has resulted in an "outstanding stock position."
"We had a mix of buyers from smaller retail stores to big box to individual designers," Yeck noted. "They were all looking for something to really wow them in terms of unique constructions and on-trend colors. Some of our most popular collections from High Point market were Palomar, Karina, Elias and Anica. These collections are all very textural and cozy in nature but also with some pops of color for added brightness -- which is what we are seeing our clients being drawn to."
In addition to in-person market, Feizy had strong virtual appointments throughout and also has been creating videos of its latest collections and best sellers for buyers who are unable to attend shows and wanted a detailed review of the company's area rug collections.
The hand-knotted Palomar collection of distressed tribal designs has been "a home run," and Karina, also a hand-knot, was another success. Both of these collections offer affordable prices and trending colors crafted of wool. Palomar features a palette of ink, charcoal, silver and denim, accented with ivory, warm beige and cocoa. Karina, also part of Feizy’s lifestyle price echelon, is inspired by Oushak designs, updated with a colorways that combine traditional hues and pops of pastels. And Elias proved another best-in-show. It’s hand-loomed with space-dyed, high-pile viscose, with patterns that are geometric and textural.
In the machine-made category, the Aura and Azure collections introduced buyers to a shimmery metallicized polypropylene in soft color combinations that include champagnes with gray and beige in Aura, and metallic blue with gray and blue in Azure.
"Our new machine-made collections continue to exceed expectations while our long history of designer partnership has driven our fine and custom programs," Yeck said. "We have launched innovative new programs, such as our 5X8 reverse roll program that has been a HUGE hit with our retail partners."
