HRI Heads to High Point, Expands Sunbrella Range & Debuts 5 Hand-Knotted Collections

Harounian Rugs International continues to grow its successful range of rugs crafted with Sunbrella fiber, and showcases several new hand-knotted collections at fall High Point Market.

Harounian Rugs International (HRI) continues to expand its popular Sunbrella range of life-proof silky and soft area rugs.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Harounian Rugs International heads to High Point Market broadening its hit Sunbrella series to include a promotionally priced assortment while also rolling out five new hand-knotted collections.

The New York rug manufacturer, which will be showcasing its area rugs at only one of its two High Point spaces, Market Square Tower 100A, is also offering buyers who will not be attending High Point in person, individual Zoom market presentations.

"David Grasse and myself will be giving individual Zoom presentations throughout the entire market as to what is new and trending at HRI," Greg Jordt, executive VP, sales and marketing, told RugNews.com. "Our sales reps are hearing from very few accounts that are planning on attending the High Point Market. We expect that this market will be similar to Las Vegas Market, which was down 80 percent."

Similar to Las Vegas Market, Jordt expects market attendees to be within driving distance to High Point. "We will be doing a lot of virtual presentations, even though foot traffic will be down."

LARGEST SALES FORCE IN HISTORY

"I look forward to meeting two of our newest sales reps, mask-to-mask,” Jordt said. "It will be a good opportunity to work with them on our assortment and strategies to expand business. HRI now has the largest professional sales force it has ever had -- these men and women have been terrific throughout the entire year!”

SUNBRELLA EXPANSIONS
 

Kid, pet and life proof, the easy care and clean Sunbrella range by HRI features a silky and soft hand.

HRI launched its hit Sunbrella collection of indoor and outdoor rugs, crafted of Sunbrella yarn, at last year's fall High Point Market. The company further grew that program in January with the addition of several new constructions and a selection of broadloom designs.

"While we will be showing 5 new hand knotted collections in High Point, our Market highlight will be the expansion of our Sunbrella rug collections with the introduction of the new Sunbrella 1000 collection, which is at a popular price point."

In addition, HRI's performance Sunbrella 600 and 700 collections see line extensions for fall 2020. These area rugs, available in 11 color ways and designs, are machine-made in Turkey. Each rug is densely woven in stain and fade resistant Sunbrella yarns. Programmed and stocked in: 4x6, 5x8, 8x10 and 9x12, with sample swatches available. Suggested retail, $959 in 5x8.
SUNBRELLA 1000
 

HRI expands its area rugs made of Sunbrella yarn with the more moderately priced Sunbrella 1000. Shown, S10-11B.

The new Sunbrella 1000, also machine-made in Turkey, is a more promotionally priced assortment. Available in eight colorways and designs, all of the rugs are woven in stain and fade resistant Sunbrella yarns. Programmed and stocked in: 5x8, 8x10 and 9x12, with sample swatches available. Suggested retail, $639 in 5x8.
