HICKSVILLE, N.Y. -- Kalaty Rug Corporation announces that it is expanding the company’s relationship with renowned fashion designer Josie Natori with two new power-loomed area rug collections under the N Natori by Kalaty label. The first two collections in the N Natori series – N Natori Serengeti and N Natori Bliss – will make their debut this summer at the Atlanta and Las Vegas markets.

“We continue to enjoy success with our heirloom hand-knotted licensed Natori rug collections – Dynasty, Shangri-La and Lhasa,” Ariel Kalaty, a company spokesman, said. “We take great pride in our ongoing association and relationship with a designer as respected as Josie Natori who is revered around the globe for her fashions, her fashion sense and her textile designs. It is a natural extension of our Natori partnership to expand into another aspect of our relationship, and this summer we are launching the N Natori series of collections, a more moderately priced series of power-loomed rug collections. We anticipate another successful venture in our association with Mrs. Natori and to growing the N Natori collection series.”

N Natori Collections launching this summer:

N Natori Serengeti

Featuring animal-inspired prints that tie back to the World of Natori, the subtle color palette of Serengeti is power-loomed of polyester yarns, with the knots-per-square-inch (KPSI- 260)  equivalent to that of many hand-knotted rugs.

N Natori Bliss

The Bliss rug collection features Natori prints reimagined. Geometrics are power-loomed using a combination of viscose and acrylic yarns. These rugs feature a knots-per-square-inch (KPSI- 260) that is equivalent to that of many hand-knotted rugs.

Regarding her ongoing association with Kalaty, Josie Natori says, “We are very pleased with our partnership with Kalaty who has helped us bring art to life through beautiful rugs that truly capture the Natori aesthetic. We are thrilled to launch the new series of N Natori rugs, which expresses the art of Natori in a more lighthearted and approachable way. The designs feature geometric patterns and animal prints with an East-West sensibility, focused on modernity, comfort, and ease.”

The Natori Company describes N Natori as follows: N Natori infuses sophistication into feminine through utterly wearable fashion and inspired home environment collections.
