CAPEL

Designer Donna Mitchell of I Amagine, with offices in Las Vegas and the D.C. area, admires Capel's hand-knotted
Braymore design 1124.

At the Capel showroom, the company's popular hand-knotted Braymore collection continues to be a favorite. Braymore features the same construction as the bold-colored Charise, but with a more subtle color story. Likewise, Verve is also an offshoot of the Charise quality, featuring Oushak motifs with pops of playful colors. All three continue to be a favorite with Capel clients for their updated-classic-styled motifs
in popular color combinations, from neutral subdued tones, to richly colored ones and bold, cheery palettes.

A summer favorite also includes Capel's Tartan collection of plaid-inspired motifs hand-tufted from a blend of 85 percent wool and 15 percent viscose. The new Serengeti collection of animal print-inspired tufted designs is picking up momentum and added Zebra in a black colorway. These looped rugs are made of 100 percent wool with fine pile yarns for added durability. Finally, the hand-woven wool Geometric lineup, which features "dotted" geometric motifs, is gaining steam for its soft and thick pile.

Capel's cheery Verve collection of hand-knotted Oushak-inspired patterns continues to sell well, and received a line extension
in updated colorations.

COURISTAN

From Couristan's new handcrafted assortment, Norway is a top choice for its all wool neutral styling and
raised motifs.

Couristan highlights its extensive lineup of handmade and performance rugs at its World Market Center showroom for summer market. Among the favorites with buyers are its hand-knotted Norway collection of pure wool geometric and linear raised motif designs. These rugs are knotted in a larger-knot construction with high/low and textural elements to add depth and a nubby finish. Another handmade winner is Ciora, hand-knotted in a chunky construction, utilizing carved elements for added texture in geometric and abstract designs. Also earning a big thumbs up from summer shoppers is the company's newest hand-tufted collection Noir collection, featuring a range of graphic geometric patterns.

A favorite newcomer is the Haj collection of machine-woven rugs that feature classic Persian motifs of space-dyed polyester. These rugs offer ombre-styling and rich warm colors paired with cooler neutrals. Imperial is another hit. These are high-quality printed chenille rugs with vintage-styled classic motifs.

Offering the look of vintage hand-knotted rugs, Couristan's printed Imperial collection is a flat-weave construction of cotton/poly.

DALYN RUG CO.

Bruce Odette, owner of Denver retailer Carpet Exchange, and Dalyn's Ashton Davis, regional VP,  pose in front of one of
Odette's Dalyn favorites: Vizcia, the company's highest-quality range.

Dalyn added four new collections for Las Vegas Market, two of them, Lomita and Rialto, created to bring the recently introduced, successful Vizcia collection construction to a more attainable price point. Lomita, a range of classic Persian over-dye motifs, and Rialto, a line of saturated active solids are both power-loomed with a 100 percent polyester pile and cotton foundation, and treated with an over-dye process for rich colorations. Vizcia, the company's highest-quality machine-made construction, is power-woven of the same fibers and also treated to an over-dye process; however, these rugs feature a tight 1.3 million-point weave that was an instant success when it was rolled out earlier this year. Dalyn also unveiled its customizable Integra program of hand-tufted area rugs that allows buyers to select a choice of pattern, size and shape, and colors.

Dalyn's new coordinating indoor-outdoor Chambal and Provo collections resonated with buyers for their sisal-inspired styling, handmade of easy-care PET polyester fiber. Chambal includes solid styles, while Provo offers complementary herringbone pattern.

The company's Odyssey, a lineup of printed abstract patterns debuted last fall, and has become Dalyn's bestseller and remains a top choice, as does the company's recently introduced Luxury Washables (notably its Trevi collection), which continues to be a market favorite for its easy-going price, soft hand, coordinating accents and detailed designs.

Dalyn returns to custom hand-tufted rugs with the launch of Integra, which allows buyers to select a design's size, shape and colors.

Dynamic Rugs keeps the focus on its high-quality machine-made rugs for summer shoppers, adding four new collections, and a line extension from its hit Daisy lineup of hand-tufted floral motifs introduced earlier this year. Bliss is a new textural collection machine made of polyester with understated tonal abstract and transitional patterns. The new Arcadia collection offers transitional, geometric and abstract looks. It is crafted of polypropylene and space-dyed polyester with ribbed texture and worn, antiqued looks. The Harmony collection, made in Belgium of three-color polyester for accents, includes a range of high-low motifs with a plaid-look and oversize zigzag among the favorites. The entire Harmony rug collection is offered in roll runners too, earning the new lineup a thumbs up from retailers.

Dynamic Rug's Daisy collection, tufted of wool, is a sensation, and adds several new designs, including a tropical themed palm motif that was an instant hit. And its previewed recycled-cotton-handmade lookalike assortment is heading into production after buyer response was so positive at market.

Sure to be a top 2024 seller for Dynamic Rugs is its hand-tufted Daisy lineup which adds tropical botanical motifs for
summer shoppers.

FEIZY

Denise Riley of Feizy (far left) with Nebraska Furniture Mart’s Micaela Hale and Erica Perna, Feizy’s Mike Riley, and
NFM’s David Chambers. Shown, Kasbah collection

Feizy's hand-knotted rugs continue to perform exceptionally well, and its Kasbah collection stopped buyers in their tracks. Showcased in an immersive entryway display designed by Las Vegas interior designer Christopher Todd, the hand-knotted premium wool rugs feature low-pile Moroccan and Southwestern motifs. Another hand-knotted range getting lots of airtime is Kessler, a high-texture, high-quality range of watercolor, abstract, geometric and striped patterns. The fine hand-knotted Dyer collection, crafted of viscose, features bold and subdued lustrous abstract motifs, and introduced three fresh limited-edition designs for summer market-goers.

Hand-tufted pieces continue to trend up, and Feizy's debuting Kawai is hit for its bold abstract expressions and commercial grade quality. These rugs offer a combination of wool with a blended wool/viscose yarn in the accents. The company added new warm gold and ivory abstract motifs to its top-selling Eastfield collection, hand loomed of wool and viscose.

The new high-quality hand-knotted Kessler collection is among Feizy's top-sellers for its high texture motifs and color palette.

HAROUNIAN RUGS INTERNATIONAL (HRI)

Custom home designer and builder Blue Heron's team stops in the HRI showroom to check out its newest hand-knotted
area rugs and bestsellers. Pictured, hanging, left, Expressions, and, right, Sierra collections.

HRI featured plenty of designer driven newness at its spacious showroom, but also made room for two of its best-selling fully in-stock hand-knotted collections: Majestic Oushak and Expressions, a range of detailed abstract motifs. Majestic Oushak offers large-scale bordered floral motifs with a finely knotted pile of spun Indian Bikaner wools. Each rug is luster washed during HRI's unique finishing process. Expressions, one of HRI's top-selling collections, is hand knotted in a blend of New Zealand wool and viscose and offers a soft plush textured pile.

The company also introduced buyers to its Italian Art Deco range of minimalist geometric motifs in a Tibetan weave of pure wool. As a counterpoint, the Traditional collection previewed by HRI in Vegas offers classic motifs in a range of rust, reds, browns and ivory. These designs are hand knotted of wool at a very value driven price point and are expected to become a favorite.

JAUNTY

Jaunty's hand-tufted Hudson collection is a favorite for its dense and textured patterns. Shown, HD-27 in rain

Among the favorites at Jaunty for 2024 are several indoor-outdoor lines such as the Dublin and Delano. Dublin, a performance range for indoor and outdoor sheltered use, is hand-tufted using premium polyester yarn and synthetic backing for durability. Delano offers hand woven solids of premium polyester yarn with synthetic backing. Jaunty also introduced the indoor-outdoor Manchester collection of three nomadic-inspired designs in PET recycled yarns, and the geometric MT-19 in haze is a hit for its relaxed, casual styling and soft, durable eco-friendly materials.

Petra, a multi textured hand-tufted wool range, is also hot out of the gate with an intricate geometric cross pattern (PE-62 in dew) in the dew colorway, a favorite of market-goers. The Hudson lineup of hand-tufted wool rugs also has gained traction notably with its Oushak-inspired patterns.

The company's popular hand-tufted Sterling collection, featuring a broken linear geometric raised motif, adds a brand-new mossy green Leaf colorway based on client requests for the shade. And finally, the Odyssey collection's floral design OD-93 in midnight adds multiple new sizes to its running line.

A Jaunty favorite from the Odyssey collection of floral designs is OD-93 in midnight which adds several more sizes.

KALATY

Brooklyn artist Katie Merz poses with Mike and Ramin Kalaty with her licensed baseball-themed sportsglyph rugs as the backdrop.

Kalaty highlighted its licensed program alongside Brooklyn-based visual artist Katie Merz at its Las Vegas showroom. In fact, Merz hosted a meet and greet with summer shoppers, introducing them to the latest rug additions to her sportsglyph collection of power-loomed sports-themed patterns inspired by her work. What's more, market-goers were able to watch Merz demonstrate her freehand creative process as she filled a glass showroom window with glyphs.

Naturally other highlights in the Kalaty collection included the latest additions to some of its most established collections of hand-knotted rugs, as well as its recently debuted introductions. Among the featured designs was a line extension to the popular Elara collection of modern designs. These pieces feature erased effects and high-low carving. Rugs are hand knotted in a Tibetan weave using a combination of premium wool and Silkette, with a loop-and-pile weave that is hand carved. A newcomer in the Kalaty roster is Kosta, a line of updated traditional patterns, hand knotted using a combination of premium wool and Silkette yarns. Each rug in the collection is finished with a special process to create a low pile or zero pile.

KARASTAN

Karastan's Salt Life collection is taking off and its new knitted Pelican Bay collection is a summer favorite. Shown, in
rear, the Windward design; on floor, Folly Beach

Karastan featured new additions to its performance Salt Life rug program, which includes both indoor and outdoor rugs. A major hit is the Pelican Bay collection of five designs, which are the first knitted pieces in the collection. These rugs emulate the look and feel of handmade loop and cut pile rugs, but are crafted of polyester as an easy-care, durable option. All five designs got a thumbs up. Another Salt Life introduction resonating with buyers is the domestically made Dunes, which offers a range of designs, including abstracted motifs, made with Everstrand polyester for a soft feel, color clarity, and richly defined details.

Salt Life is a mid-priced offering, and within that category, Karastan is focusing on the "better" qualities with its Pelican Bay and Dunes debuts, said Tracy Pruitt, vice president of design. Another new addition to the series is Bonaire, printed on a woven chenille base with a secondary back.

For 2024, Pruitt expects the successful Tryst collection of viscose and acrylic, the company's most expensive machine-made collection featuring a dense 2 million point construction, to be its bestseller.

Karastan's highest quality machine-made Tryst collection is expected to be the big winner for 2024.

LOLOI

Loloi introduced the new wool hand-tufted Otis collection of curved-corner linear pattern rugs, which are GoodWeave
certified.

While Loloi focused its introductions mostly on its Loloi brand area rugs, it also showcased the many recently introduced collections to its licensed programs, including Amber Lewis, Brigette Romanek, Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines and Rifle Paper Company, which added the Silhouette collection of scalloped-edge wool hooked area rugs. In addition, the company highlighted its Loloi and Loloi II series rugs, adding Otis, a well-received range of rounded edges designs. This collection features loose linear patterns in heathered, natural colors.

Loloi II added the Anniston
collection of machine-washable rugs with traditional motifs in saturated and distressed tones. These durable rugs are power loomed of polyester in China and designed for the busiest rooms of the home.

NOURISON HOME

Nourison's Jack Nakeshian gives Igor Yakovenko, area rug buyer at Airbase Carpet Mart, a showroom tour, and among
Yakonvnko's favorites is Shadows, a collection of loom woven polyester rugs.

Summer Las Vegas market-goers were the first to shop Nourison Home's airy remodeled showroom, where a market favorite is the new Avra collection hand-tufted with a cut and loop pile. Avra, made of 80 percent wool and 20 percent rayon for lustrous accents, takes Nourison’s top selling Graceful and recasts it in neutral floral motifs. These mostly wool mid-price pieces will continue to be a favorite for 2024, said Giovanni Marra, vice president of marketing & creative. Another just-debuted collection that is making waves is Shadows, which offers an ultra-refined vintage-style look. Featuring classic Persian floral patterns with coordinating border and short fringe, these rugs are made from 100 percent polyester with a soft texture and easy-clean construction.

Nourison’s popular Infinite collection's new 2024 designs are expected to be the year's bestsellers. These rugs are inspired by classic Persian garden designs and feature lightly distressed palettes. Made from durable polyester and polypropylene fibers with a soft texture that’s easy to clean, the collection is also OEKO-TEX certified to be free of harmful chemicals. In contrast, in the value category, the Astra machine-washable collection, rolled out last year, added several new designs in 2024 and is expected to be another hit. These power-loomed printed motifs are also OEKO-TEX certified.

And as expected the company's long-running Prismatic collection of hand-tufted rugs continues to be a favorite with Nourison Home clients for its statement making designs, high-quality weave and plush, dense pile.

Nourison's one-year-old hand-tufted Graceful collection was a hit out of the gate and added fresh designs in 2024,
including top-selling design GRU03.

ORIAN

Following requests from its customers, Orian expands its Axel collection to include warmer earthy tones.

Orian updated some of its most popular qualities for summer shoppers, with tweaks to the construction and fresh designs. Miles, the company’s densest quality, has been a runaway hit since the mid-pile line’s introduction earlier this year, so Orian responded to buyers’ requests for warmer tones paired with grey in its newest line extensions. Orian's debuting Lana collection of plush motifs offers a similar construction to the company's popular Cottontail. Miles and Lana feature the same qualities as Orian's most popular sellers, however the pile heights are lowered to make them more affordable. Lana updates Cottontail's existing creel by adding newer colors in the accents and by adding trend-right patterns. Both are domestically made.

On the outdoor side of the business the company updated its knit texture Boucle construction, adding fresh designs and new colorways but with a lower pile, also making it a more affordable option than the original.

colors in the creel.

ORIENTAL WEAVERS

OW debuted the power-loomed Maeve collection with designs rendered from OW's top-selling creel. Shown, MAE-03

Oriental Weavers’ summer Vegas shoppers were first to congratulate Andy Brumlow on his new promotion to chief commercial officer. Las Vegas buyers were also the first to preview three new collections rolling out this summer. The company expanded its high-quality machine-woven lineup with Maeve and Eliana. The power-loomed Maeve collection features one of OW's top-selling creels in classic Persian and block print patterns. The range of 14 designs offers a soft hand and subtly pigmented color palette of space-dyed polypropylene. Color highlights include neutral tones of ash brown, oat milk and gray, and mineral-based blues, matcha green and sunbaked clay.

The second power-loomed debut is Eliana, which offers 12 designs made of space-dyed polyester with a high twist level in deep and rich colorations. The textural yarn imparts a lustrous finish and soft hand.

In the hand-knot category, Oriental Weavers continues to introduce new designs following the success of its Palace collection line extension last summer. The Majorca collection of eight vintage-inspired classic Oushak designs is hand knotted of hand-spun wool for added color variations in a trend-forward palette.

The popular Lucca collection, which added eight brightly colored Oushak-style motifs earlier this year, is a 2024 hit. These pieces are cross-woven on an Axminster loom using space-dyed wool and nylon.

SAFAVIEH

Martha Stewart adds the machine-washable Blair collection of vintage motifs made of plush polyester to her Safavieh collections.

Safavieh had good appointments, said Cyrus Yaraghi, noting that the company's updated Persian motifs continue to be a customer favorite. Another hit is its Tribeca collection of plush hand-knotted wool patterns, which range from high-low organic geometrics to abstract and solid-colored designs. And the more attainable hand-woven Manhattan lineup of fashion-forward textured shag rugs grows with new designs for summer shoppers. Bedford, a high-quality hand-loomed lineup, was a favorite for its textured and lustrous motifs. These rugs are made of 60 percent viscose and 40 percent wool. Finally, Safavieh's increasingly popular hand-tufted offering is expanded. New additions to the Fifth Avenue collection, which offers tight loop and cut pile patterns densely hand tufted of viscose and wool, earned a thumbs up for new abstract motifs and new shaped rugs.

The company continues to expand its washable rugs category adding Blair to its popular Martha Stewart licensed program. Blair offers updated vintage-style traditional motifs with a plush hand, and the rugs are available with a convenient clear plastic tote.

UNIQUE LOOM

Stephanie Adams catches up with Rob Edgerly, of Wallaroo Furniture (a division of American Homestead), Spokane Valley,
Washington.

Unique Loom was bullish on its new faux fur rugs at Vegas market. “It’s the softest rug in the industry,” said David Jolley, VP of sales, noting the pieces feature a memory foam backing. “With hand carving and all the bells and whistles of softness, the tech that goes into these fibers makes rugs softer and softer.” Made in China, the rugs have an MSRP of $149 in 5x7.

In the popular Jill Zarin licensed program, 2024’s bestselling collection designs are the textured tonal solids from Uptown. “Higher quality outdoor rugs are great for us – and we’ve had a great response to our outdoor Botanical and Trellis collections. The company also has a custom size rug program, with wool, indoor-outdoor, and even machine made offerings, which bring custom into an attainable price point. The company quotes 9-12 weeks for custom delivery with a $25 freight charge. “We’re putting custom into a retail prototype, but you can place orders on our website too," Jolley said.

Unique Loom also showcased its debut collection of Panama Jack licensed area rugs featuring 24 indoor-outdoor designs.
